A 25-year-old man handed himself in to police on Monday after a video went viral showing a pensioner with a zimmer frame being abused on a bus which passes through Dalston.
In the expletive-filled video the elderly Turkish man is told by the suspect to “go back to his country”, that he will get a “pig’s c***” shoved in his mouth like “big Dave” and that his kids “love black d***”.

The man also repeatedly referred to the elderly man’s religion, asking him if he’s a “good muslim”, before apologising to the other passengers on the bus saying: “Just another reason to vote UKIP”, and throwing the man’s zimmer frame off the bus.
The bus was travelling along the A10 High Road in Tottenham at the time of the incident, which is believed to have happened last Saturday.
A woman admitted racially abusing a pregnant Muslim woman on a bus in Brent after a video of the incident also went viral last week.
Mike Weston, TfL’s Director of Buses, said: “This type of behaviour will not be tolerated on our network … we will provide the police with every assistance as they investigate this totally unacceptable incident.”
