Police have charged a 37-year-old with grievous bodily harm after a brutal assault in the heart of Hackney left a man dead.

Miroslaw Glaza, 50, died last Thursday after suffering serious head injuries when he was assaulted on Kenmure Road on Friday November 1.

Police believe witnesses have yet to come forward. Det Insp Rob Pack said: “We are yet to trace several witnesses who were in the area at the time of the assault.

“The Narroway is a bustling area, particularly on a Friday evening and I am convinced that someone walking past would have seen the incident.”
