Performance art venue appoints four new trustees as it aims to build its role as an inclusive community hub.
Julie Flavell, CEO of Shoreditch Town Hall, said: “Their leadership will be invaluable in helping us support local artists, deliver progressive programmes, and remain a space that champions diversity and inclusion.”
Filmmaker and cultural analyst Osas Esosa said of his new appointment: “[The Town Hall] holds deep significance for me, having grown up within walking distance. I’m particularly passionate about increasing engagement among those from backgrounds that typically have less exposure to the arts.”
Brand and Marketing consultant Tom Robertson brings two decades’ worth of experience in the arts, culture and entertainment, including roles at Somerset House and the National Theatre.
Roxanne Peak-Payne, a veteran of the arts and culture world, leads strategic development at theatre company Clod Ensemble as Executive Director.
Creative producer Deborah Yewande Bankole has over a decade’s worth of experience as a producer within the creative industries, specialising in festival production and immersive art.
Shoreditch Town Hall is a registered charity (1069617) which no longer operates as a civic Town Hall but remains open as one of Hackney’s largest arts and events venue.
