A youth orchestra is holding open auditions for its free end of term public concert.
All eight-to-10-year-olds who play an orchestral instrument are being invited to audition for the Hackney Youth Orchestra. Auditions take place every Saturday in the theatre at Stoke Newington School on Clissold Road.
The end of term concert will see the junior orchestra play Handel’s “Hallelujah”, Ling’s “Samborina” and Vivaldi’s “Spring”, while the chamber orchestra will play Rossini’s “William Tell Overture” and Mossorgsky’s “Night on a Bare Mountain”.
Young musicians should be at minimum grade 1 for the junior orchestra and grade 3 for the chamber orchestra.
