Kate Sheridan is a Clapton-based shop that opened in 2014. Their website is filled with all the accessories your Mum could dream off in the run up to the expected easing  of lockdown on 21 June. With a ‘Lookbook’ and a gift-wrapping service, they could have made your life any easier.

Dear Love Designs

For any ceramics, pottery and clay, Dear Love Designs is selling pre-made pieces via Etsy, but you can also commission your own if you are looking for something a little more specific. The shop showcase different glazes and techniques, whether you are after an ornament, a trusty mug or a plate for the dinner you will cook her.

Pages of Hackney

We all love a bookshop browse, but this year Pages of Hackney are offering a web-shop where you can scroll through their titles, or use their hyperlinks to cut straight to the shelf you want. You can collect if you are too close to Mother’s Day for the postal service, and they are also offering speedy local delivery by bike.

Make Town

Based in Chatham Place, Make Town is a textiles and craft studio is taking online orders for anything from craft kits and yarn supplies, to pre-made clothing, bags and hot-water bottle covers. Workshops are on hold at the moment but memberships are flexible and would give your mum full studio access, online tutorials as well as a couple of freebies.

House of Buckley

Caroline Buckley began House of Buckley, following the death of her husband. Having found calm and peace in candles, she hopes to share this with others. A gift from this cruelty-free and vegan brand with minimalist designs would give your Mum a chance to chill out when she realises that you did not get her the Burberry bag she asked for.
