Homerton Hospital revealed treating a suspected Ebola patient 4 months ago.
Medical directors at Homerton University Hospital announced that doctors had treated a man who arrived at A&E with a high fever.
The patient had recently returned from travels in Sierra Leone.
The case was revealed last night at a board of directors in public meeting of Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The hospital has been running simulations to practice treating genuine cases of Ebola.
A health scrutiny meeting heard that the Homerton Row hospital had run a simulation of what would happen if a patient turned up with Ebola.
The announcement comes as concerns have increased over Ebola spreading to the UK.
Earlier this month Ebola screening was introduced at Heathrow airport for those arriving from countries hit by the virus.
