Buzzfeed, a news source of choice for many in Hackney, has suggested that it is simply a sales ploy for the iPhone, since it really doesn’t do much without one.

Hackney’s hipsters are renowned for their love of the Church of Apple, and their shiny Macbook pros adorn coffee shops. When the Apple release was announced, we worried their feelings about this could potentially get a little… out of control.

Hackney Post looked at Twitter to find out what Hackney thought of the Apple Watch.

Some people even seemed to be aiming for a PR job with Apple

But not even hipster-heavy Hackney saw everyone celebrating Apple’s latest piece of tech. Some commented on the cost.

Some people had clearly been reading their Marx

Some people had innovative solutions to spending money.

So come on, Hackney. Come on, Apple. Just take our easy advice.
