Police are appealing for witnesses after a victim was hospitalised following a serious assault.
The assault, which involved two men, took place outside the Brilliant Corners restaurant and wine-bar on Kingsland Road at 7pm on Friday.

The victim of the attack is currently recovering in hospital, and police sources say that no weapons were involved. CCTV footage from the bar is currently being analysed as part of the investigation.
A spokesperson from Brilliant Corners said: “I was inside when it happened so although I saw the ambulances when they arrived I didn’t actually see the assault take place.”
Police are urging those who have witnessed the attack to call 101 and quote ref 8328/21NOV14
