A “much-loved” vegan market is set to return to Hackney Downs Studios for the first time since July, with a special festive edition.
On 14 December, 12 vegan traders will showcase a range of plant-based products ranging from food and beer to ethical gifts.
Sean O’Callaghan, the market’s organiser, said: “There are thousands of vegans looking for a place to shop and socialise, plus I want to create a market that would support independent and locally-owned vegan businesses.”
The market brought thousands of people to Hackney during its launch in December 2016, gaining widespread media coverage.
“Hackney Downs Vegan Market really took the profile of veganism in London to unseen levels,” said Mr O’Callaghan. “I was invited onto BBC Radio to discuss the event and the market was often visited by food buyers and developers.”
