Two sound artists presented a mixture of musical performance and meditation at The Old Church in Clissold Park.
In what they call a “sound journey”, Yan White, 42, and Uran Apak, 34, invited the audience to lie on the floor with their eyes closed while the musicians improvised on a wide range of instruments – including guitars, flutes, drums, bells and synthesizers.

“I’ve always seen music as a meditative experience,” Apak noted.
According to White, the plan is to repeat the performance at The Old Church once a month – always coinciding with the new moon. “It’s about the symbolism, the new moon as a new beginning”, he explains.
