Man remains in critical condition after Homerton triple shooting

A 24-year-old man remains critically ill after a triple shooting in Homerton last week, according to police sources.

Two other men, aged 60 and 32, were also taken to hospital with gunshot wounds but have since been released.

According to a local crime report, police were called to a playground outside a large block of flats on Homerton High Street at 10:48pm on Sunday, October 11th after receiving reports of a shooting. Detectives from the Met Police’s Specialist Crime Command are investigating the incident and have increased their police presence in the area.

Ayaan, a 51-year-old resident at local flats Nisbet House, branded the shooting as “crazy and scary.”

She said, “I didn’t hear the shots but saw the police tape the next day. It makes me angry! I have seen children playing here – this is not good for the area and scary for people who live here. It makes you feel unsafe.”

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact 101 and quote the reference 7463/11OCT.
