Hackney ‘goes bananas’ for fairtrade

Hackney schoolchildren and councillors joined forces to launch the borough’s Fairtrade initiative and our reporter Alison Battisby found out why they were ‘going bananas’. Here, Speaker Ian Rathbone and Hackney Learning Trust’s Nicola Baboneu explain the benefits of buying Fairtrade, while pupils tell all about their favourite fruit.
