Dame Judi Dench was spotted at Ridley Road market and Gillett Square, Dalston.

The Oscar and Tony award-winning actor was snapped eating jerk chicken alongside TV presenter and furniture restorer Jay Blades

Dench, 89, was also seen serving fruit at a stall on Ridley Road Market, accompanied by cameras and crew.

The pair will be staring in a new Channel 4 series for which they have already started filming.

The show comes off back of Blade and Dench’s success of their previous hit show, The Repair Shop.

It is reported to be a fly-on-the-wall style series, but does not yet have a title.

Dame Judi will appear at the Hay Festival later this year to promote her book, Shakespeare: The Man Who Pays the Rent
