A cyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car on a “dangerous” road notorious for accidents according to locals.

The incident occurred at midday on Friday 17 October in front of the Tower Theatre on Northwold Street involving a man riding a Lime bike and a car.

Luke Chadwick, who witnessed the incident, said that police arrived around 12:05pm, while “the fellow was still on the floor.”

An ambulance arrived thirty minutes after the crash.

Another accident took place at the same location on the 11th October according to Ishdiaq Khan, an employee at a nearby shop.

A local bus driver stated that a similar incident had taken place at the junction between Northwold Road and Stoke Newington High Street on Sunday 12 October.

Residents have expressed concerns about the frequency of traffic accidents at the Northwold Road junction.

Commenters on a Facebook post detailing the incident described the section of road as “chaos” and “a very dangerous place indeed.”
