The BBC has announced that Coldplay will play a concert at St John at Hackney Church on 3 December.
BBC Radio 1, which will broadcast the show, released the details of the gig, which comes the night before Coldplay release their seventh album “A Head Full of Dreams”.
Quick sell-out
Around 1,200 public tickets were available for the St John at Hackney gig. Tickets went on sale on Monday evening, and had sold out within half an hour.

Kate Walters, venue manager at St John at Hackney Church, said: “We’ve had a number of big gigs before but Coldplay are in a different league.
“We had a show drop out on 3 December so otherwise it wouldn’t have happened.”
On 5 December, Coldplay will appear at the 70,000 seat Wembley stadium.
