Britain’s number one female tennis player Anne Keothavong was knocked out of the BNP Paribas Open in California last night.
Despite winning the first set, she was beaten by Russian Olga Govortsova 2-6, 6-3, 6-1.
The 25-year-old from Hackney will play her next tournament in Miami later this month, the draw for which includes Serena Williams and Jelena Jankovic.
