The legendary St Patrick’s Day Party returns as Irish craft breweries Franciscan Well and Bru, come together with Irish whiskey Jameson to show the world there’s more to Irish beers than Guinness. Learn about the best of their craft tipples as the brewers and distillers let you taste their wares. This event is free and ticketed, with drinks provided, so get booking to start the Paddy’s Day celebrations early!
40 Shades of Green, Kingsland

Celebrate St Patrick’s weekend at the 40ft Brewery with Irish food, rugby, stout, Irish Poitin, Craic agus Ceoil and more stout. There will also be food from renowned Irish chefs Robin William Gill (The Diary) & Patrick Powell (Chiltern Fire House). Dave Mulligan (Bán Poitín) is an independent distiller of one of Ireland’s most notorious drinks, Poitín, who has also created the cocktail list in association with some of the top Irish Cocktail bartenders in the business especially for the day. The event is strictly limited capacity so arrive early!
The Water Poet, Spitalfields

If drowning yourself in Guinness isn’t your thing, the Water Poet is hosting a beer, whiskey and food matching evening in their Dining Room. With five courses celebrating Ireland’s diverse larder of fantastic ingredients and artisan products paired with a range of cocktails, beers and whiskeys, this event will showcase the unsung heroes of Irish food and drink. The menu will cost £25 per person.

Packed into a tight corner on Church Street in Stoke Newington, this long, narrow establishment is regularly touted as one of East London’s liveliest nights out. The Trad night boasts traditional Irish music with the resident Friday night band.
