Britain’s number one female tennis player Anne Keothavong was knocked out of the BNP Paribas Open in California last night.
Despite winning the first set, she was beaten by Russian Olga Govortsova 2-6, 6-3, 6-1.
Anne Keothavong, Britain’s number one-ranked female tennis player, will hear tomorrow whom she will face in the first round of the BNP Paribas Open in California.
Hackney-based Keothavong, ranked 48th in the world, will play her opening match on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old is currently preparing for the tournament in Los Angeles.
