Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty has been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs after the January death of Hackney heiress Robin Whitehead, according to The Guardian.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan police said: “A 31-year-old man was arrested on 19 March on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.
“He was bailed to return on a date in April pending further inquiries.”
Whitehead died from a suspected drug overdose at her flat in Hackney on 24 January. Doherty said he was “shocked and saddened” by her death.
She made a documentary film, The Road To Albion, about his former band, the Libertines.
Whitehead was the granddaughter of Ecologist magazine founder Teddy Goldsmith, while her father was the 1960s filmmaker Peter Whitehead.
