A chef who brought Michelin-starred food to Broadway Market has announced that his stall will reopen next spring after closing for the winter months.
Ben Spalding’s Stripped Back eatery had its “big finale” last weekend, serving up a high-end six course meal including trout with apple, pumpkin pie and champagne.
“It’s the weather that’s forced us to close for now, but I’m not turning my back on it,” he said.
After working in more than ten Michelin starred restaurants in four countries, the veteran explained that he wanted to try something different.
“I wanted to get my name out to different circles and a market stall attracted people who would never tend to come out and eat the sort of food I was cook.”
The chef hopes to reopen in February or March next year.
