Leyton Orient lost 1-0 to Brentford in Saturday’s battle for second place in League Two in a bad tempered encounter between the rival sides. Goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic and striker Dean Cox performed admirably, but how did the others rate?
Eldin Jakupovic: 7
Will be disappointed to not have done better for the goal although made important save from Donaldson in the first half.
Elliot Omozusi: 5
Struggled throughout and was caught out a few times by the pace of Brentford’s wing play. Booked for his troubles.
Gary Sawyer: 5
A difficult afternoon compounded by a being involved in a first half melee and was booked before being substituted.
Romain Vincelot: 6
One of several who was lucky not to get booked in the first half and like many of his teammates did not have a great day.
Scott Cuthbert: 7
The best of Orient’s defenders on the day without being spectacular.
Nathan Clarke: 4
Lucky not to get booked when he pulled down Donaldson and when he fouled George Saville in the box. Struggled throughout, a step backwards after a solid game at Port Vale.
Moses Odubajo: 6
Missed Orient’s best chance from eight yards, should have scored and earned his side a point.
Lloyd James: 7
A good first half display although will be disappointed not to have influenced the game more in the second half against 10 men. 7
David Mooney: 6
A solid if unspectacular performance from the Orients top scorer. Will be disappointed with missed chance in first half.
Kevin Lisbie: 5
Not enough of a threat on the day and did not show a great understanding with his strike partner. Fired over from 12 yards when presented with his chance.
Dean Cox: 7
Orient’s most dangerous player on the day, went close with a fizzing drive the first half.
