Two artists have transformed a 200-year-old tramshed in Clapton into a gallery, studio and project space.

Photographer Tilley Harris and artist Suzannah Pettigrew began renovating the building – now known as the Depot – nine months ago.

“It hadn’t been used for over five years,” Miss Pettigrew explained.

The artists preserved the original structure of the Upper Clapton Road building, as they stripped the interior, replaced the roof and installed new plumbing.

“We wish to offer the local community space at the Depot to be creative,” she said.

The space will be available to rent for photographic shoots, as project space and for workshops.
