Dive into action at London Fields Lido

The heated outdoor Olympic-sized swimming pool originally opened in the 1930s, but sat empty for nearly two decades after closing in 1988. It reopened in 2006 to a warm reception.

Get some high-kicks in martial art classes

Aspiring martial artists should visit the Bob Breen Academy in Hoxton. Breen and his team of instructors have been teaching Martial Arts in Hoxton since 1970. Classes in Kickboxing and Filipino Martial Arts take place on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Taster sessions are free.
